My sculpture, <em><a href="http://www.kittygsculpture.com/picture/palm.jpg?pictureId=8474978&amp;asGalleryImage=true" target="_blank">Palm</a></em>, will be on display along with over 100 artworks by <a href="http://weadartists.org/" target="_blank">WEAD</a> (Women Environmental Artists Directory) artists. This unique sculptural installation <span>evolved out of a desire to explore the nature of sequential repetitive activities or behaviors that are a means to an end. </span></p>
<p>Please join us at the opening reception on Friday, January 6th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Come enjoy food, drink and music and be amazed by some really cool art. This is more than just an open studios event, this is a weekend dedicated to showcasing the creative talent and innovative work happening right here in Oakland.</p>

<p>I have donated two of my bottle cap flowers to the art gallery. Those pieces, as well as many other amazing works of art will be available for purchase.
