A Beautiful Weed

Elements from a previous sculpture (Spin 'Em!) join a discarded piece of metal, its original purpose unknown, and together they form Wheel Weed. This beautiful plant grows with pride in its harsh surroundings, defying anyone who dares to cut it down.

A Garden Is Growing

Spinning Sun Flower is the latest in a series of flower sculptures made from recycled materials. The base is an old stool stand. Other materials include remnant steel, bottle caps and found metal objects. I also used elements from a previous sculpture, Spin 'Em!, which has been disassembled and will be resourced into new sculpture.

I am excited to announce that beginning December 1st my new art studio will be located at Big Art Studios in the American Steel building in West Oakland. This space will allow me to work large-scale and messy within a diverse community of artists and other professionals. Expect Big things to come from this.
